Philip Rhie is a Designer, for the web.

A little about me:

I am a dude, and I make things. Though I'd like to think that I have it all figured out, I mostly struggle with a copy machine. I want to be like him, and I even want to be like her, but mostly, I am just like him. (But I love him.)

Over the years, I have drawn graphics & illustrations for myself and for others. Mostly though, I have designed & developed content for the Web. Recently, I have extended my skillset beyond the browser and into more over-arching tasks such as business development, project management, product design, user-experience design, and overall design strategy.

I am always interested in discussing new projects. If you think that there's some way in which we can help each other out, let's talk! I would frankly welcome the conversation.

People who inspire me:

David Chang, Joe Stewart, and Jack Dorsey.

Companies that inform me:

Work & Co., Oak Studios, HUGE, Big Spaceship, Momofuku, Enso, and Square.

On the internet:

Facebook, Twitter, Rdio, and LinkedIn.

In real life:

A little about this website:

Credit to Ryan Essmaker (The Great Discontent), Frank Chimero, and Jessica Hische for design ideas & inspiration. Typeset reference from Hello Happy. Photographs by Connie Lyu. Text, graphics, and layout constructed by me (Philip Rhie). Built on Foundation.

This website was created thanks to the generosity of my peers & efforts of my seniors. Not a single line of code would be possible without existing precendence. Made with love.
